ABSTRACT: The impact of digital simulations on vocational training for healthcare careers is becoming increasingly significant as these technologies offer enhanced learning experiences. This study aimed to: (1) explore how digital simulations are integrated into healthcare vocational training programs, (2) evaluate the effectiveness of these simulations in improving practical skills and knowledge retention, and (3) identify challenges and opportunities associated with their use. A survey research design was employed to gather data from students, instructors, and healthcare professionals. The sample size comprised 160 participants selected using purposive sampling from Rivers State. The case study examined a vocational institute that has incorporated digital simulations into its healthcare programs. Findings demonstrated that digital simulations significantly improved students' practical skills and knowledge retention, although challenges such as high costs and technical issues were noted. Recommendations emphasized the need for more investment in digital simulation technology, providing comprehensive training for instructors, and developing cost-effective solutions to enhance accessibility.
